The Baltimore Chapter of AAII will begin the program with a brief group discussion. This will be followed by the main presentation.

PRESENTATION TOPIC-- 'Estate Planning 101'

PRESENTATION DESCRIPTION--
This presentation will focus on preserving your wealth through proper estate planning. Topics will include wills, trusts, long term care, probate and the best way to title your assets to protect your heirs.

In this engaging presentation, you will learn:

The new Maryland Estate Tax Law is bad news for many. Learn how you can dramatically soften the blow.
A Revocable Living Trust is often recommended. Does it make sense for you?
Your child's inheritance may wind up with an ex-spouse, creditor or some other interloper. How can you prevent this outcome?

Daniel G. Kaplan, J.D.

Daniel Kaplan has written extensively about estate and retirement planning issues for national publications. With a J.D. and a Masters of Laws in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center, Mr. Kaplan is an expert in compensation, benefits and tax issues. He has drafted over ten thousand Estate plans for clients of the firm. He is a member of the Bars of the District of Columbia and Maryland.

From the Baltimore Beltway (I-695), take Exit 3A (for Ordinance Rd / Ritchie Highway). Make two immediate right turns to Northbound Ritchie Highway. Travel 1.3 miles inside the beltway. Just past Ollie's on the right is 11th Avenue. Turn right on 11th. 100 yards on the right, turn into what looks like a school driveway (if you pass the school you've gone too far). Stay to the right. The building on the right is the library.
